Our Story

For the past 12 years we have been operating our original Paella catering company

Paella Time in the Byron Bay and Lismore Regions of northern NSW., We have catered the finest weddings and private functions and festivals with amazing reviews for our culinary quality, service and presentation. We have been the recommended caterer for Paella in this region unsurpassed.

In 2017 we came to Cairns and have now catered most public food events and festivals from Port Douglas to Cairns to the Tablelands and with our new name East Coast Paella Co have again gained the highest quality reputation again for our culinary efforts and service.

We LOVE paella and cook with our hearts. We strive to bring you the finest gourmet and traditional paellas on the east coast of Australia with some flavours that you wont find anywhere else in the world. We are an innovative, committed and professional team that will take care of your evening allowing you to simply enjoy your night.

Our Story

When I first saw Paella I was mezmorized by it and fell in love with this dish. I never get tired of eating it and therefore after 11 years I still love cooking this fantastic dish for you.

Originally cooking at local markets on tiny pans for 12 guests and over the years moving onto larger pans for 40 guests progressing onto cooking for the masses on my 1m pans for 80-100 guests before finally exploding with my massive 1.3m pans cooking for 150-200 guests per pan.

Paella is such a spectacle to behold and the cooking process has people entranced.

I'm always happy to spread the love and allow for you to watch me cook my paellas...there is nothing to hide as i do it all right in front of you and your guests either at your event or at a public festival.

We hand pick our ingredients locally where possible and use only authentic paella rice imported from Spain. We use 100% real saffron with Australian or the best seafood on offer.

Our reputation is derived from my culinary motto....The highest quality ingredients cutting no corners matched with a fair price coming to you with impeccable service provided from a clean ,hygenic and visible kitchen.

These are the factors that separate us from our competition as this is what we all want from any chef providing us with our meal.

We bring our kitchen to you and set up quietly and pack down discreetly as to not disturb your event.

We will provide amazing locally sourced anti pasto tables to begin with followed my Paella Mains and an array of salads.

We use 100% compostable plates, cutlery and serviettes all bamboo.
